Keibul Lamjao is a miracle of wetland ecology: a 40-square-kilometer wildlife reserve floating on freshwater. Led by veteran naturalist Kulachandra, this dawn expedition positions you at key high-elevation watchtowers as the morning mist lifts from the phumdis, allowing rare sightings of the elusive Sangai dancing deer along with migratory birds, otters, and wetland raptors.
